Any use of the Irish Gourmet website is subject to the user agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions.
These conditions shall apply to all online transactions between Irish Gourmet and any person, firm or company (“the Purchaser”) placing an order online with Irish Gourmet for the manufacture and/or supply of any goods (“the Goods”). Irish Gourmet, by accepting any order for Goods from the Purchaser, agrees to sell and the Purchaser agrees to purchase such Goods at the price stated on irish Gourmet website and on the sole basis of the terms and conditions of Irish Gourmet stated herein.
Price
- All prices quoted on this site are in GBP £ Sterling.
- Your credit/debit card will charged in GBP Sterling.
- All goods will be despatched upon full payment being accepted.
- All goods will remain the property of Irish Gourmet until then.
Secure Shopping
We have taken every precaution to make your transactions secure. Our site uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL 128Bit) security for entering your credit card number.
To view the Security certificate confirming this, click the right hand mouse button on the page where you enter your credit card details. From the menu that appears select 'Properties' and then 'Certificates'. The site will then display the certificate proving it is secure.
Nevertheless, if you prefer, we also offer you the option of submitting your order by telephone on +44 (0) 28 91452 412. Our customer service lines are open Monday to Friday 9.30am - 6pm (GMT). All calls are charged at the standard national rate.
Privacy
At www.irishgourmet.co.uk we are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998)
We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. At no time will we provide any information about you to third parties. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent. Only by signing up for our newsletter will you receive emails other than correspondence regarding your order. We promise that we will send no more than 6 emails per calendar year. You have the option to remove your name from our mailing list at any time by sending an email to unsubscribe@irishgourmet.co.uk
This website uses 'session' cookies which are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave the website. These cookies cannot be used by themselves to identify you and your visit. You may choose to disable cookies in your web browser privacy settings in which case it will not affect your visit to our website or affect your online shopping activities.
How we store information
We use a secure server (SSL) to encrypt all of your payment information. We use strong security measures to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of your information once it is in our records.

Delivery
Order by 3pm for Express next working day delivery to the UK & Ireland; inc. England, Scotland, Wales, Southern & Northern Ireland. NB* Some remote areas may take up to 48 hrs. All Express orders received after 3pm will be despatched the following working day. Deliveries will arrive between normal working hours Monday to Friday. For your peace of mind, gifts are sent via a signed for courier service which is fully trackable online.
Although customers can request a specific delivery day, and we provide an indication of typical delivery times, specific delivery times or dates cannot be guaranteed.
Deliveries are made Monday-Friday. There are no deliveries at weekends or Bank Holidays.
All parcels require a signature upon delivery. All address information must be accurate including the postcode where appropriate, and the recipient’s telephone number. NB* A local telephone number must be provided for the recipient. Couriers companies will not contact make international calls if delivery problems are encountered. Eg. An Irish courier will not attempt to make contact if a UK telephone number is provided. Irish Gourmet is not responsible for failed deliveries due to the provision of a non local telephone number.

Refunds & Returns
Damaged Goods We are dedicated in ensuring all our gifts arrive with you in perfect condition. In the rare event of a gift being damaged, please contact us within 3 days by telephone, or email us at returns@irishgourmet.co.uk In this event we will arrange for the item to be collected and returned to us, thereupon we will replace or refund.
Unwanted/Unsuitable Goods Unwanted or unsuitable goods can be returned within 7 working days of receipt, as long as the goods are in perfect condition, and the packaging remains in an “as new” state. Both the despatch and return costs will be the customer’s responsibility, and will be reimbursed by us only in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods. We recommend using a reliable insured courier, or registered post, to return the item. In accordance with the European Directive on Distance Selling, perishable goods or customised goods made according to custom specifications may not be returned.
Please contact us by telephone, or email us at returns@irishgourmet.co.uk to let us know that you would like to return an item. You will then need to print and fill out our Returns Form and return it with the unwanted item. All returns must be packaged to prevent damage, with the Returns Form enclosed. After we have received the goods, a refund will be made to the purchaser's credit card, this cost excludes the cost of delivery.
This returns policy is in accordance with the European Directive on Distance Selling (Directove 97/7/EC.) These terms do not affect your statutory rights. Refunds for Goods Returned to Sender
Irish Gourmet reserves the right to refund up to 50% of the original order value in the event of non delivery due to the following reasons:
- Incorrect or incomplete address or recipient information supplied by the purchaser.
- If the recipient specified by the customer refuses to accept the parcel.
- Our courier attempts delivery and a signatory is not present.
- For hard to locate addresses, our courier attempts to make contact with the recipients by telephone to ask for directions, without success.
In the event of a parcel being returned to us we will refund the cost of your order minus the shipping costs. If an error has been made or an incomplete address has been given, the cost of shipping together with the same cost for return of the parcel back to us, and possibly further restocking charges will be deducted from the total value of your order.
Irish Gourmet reserves the right to make a charge of a minimum of 50% of the original order for re-directing or re-sending the order. Cancellations Should the purchaser, for any reason, request to cancel an order prior to despatch, the purchaser agrees to reimburse any loss incurred by Irish Gourmet.
In the event that the purchaser should cancel the order after despatch Irish Gourmet reserves the right to refund up to 50% of the original order value.
All refunds will be made within 7 days. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Substitutions
Whilst every effort is made to supply items as specified, the contents of each gift are subject to availability. Irish Gourmet reserves the right to substitute any items where appropriate, and guarantee that all replacements are of equal or greater value. Plates, glasses and other props shown in photographs may not be included in a hamper unless specifically listed. Wine vintages and labels may vary from those shown.
Sale of Alcohol Items containing alcohol can only be ordered and delivered to those 18 years of age and over.
Complaints
In the event that you have a complaint please notify us in writing via email to: complaints@irishgourmet.co.uk Any comments you have will be welcomed by us, taken very seriously and treated in the strictest confidence and dealt with immediately.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and give you a timescale for resolving your complaint and keep you informed of progress
Force Majeure
Irish Gourmet will exercise every reasonable effort to meet the requested despatch date. We shall not, however, be liable for any loss or damage due to delays or failure to ship resulting from any cause beyond its reasonable control, such as, but not limited to, compliance with laws or regulations, acts of God, acts or omissions of the Purchaser, acts of civil or military authority, judicial action, defaults of sub-contractors or suppliers, labour disputes, failure or delays in transportation, embargoes, wars or riots
Online Presence
No warranty is given by Irish Gourmet that their web site will be constantly online or free of defects and errors at any time.
Copyrights
All designs, text, graphics and their selection and arrangement on this site are the copyright of Irish Gourmet Ltd. Any use of materials on this site without Irish Gourmet’s prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
Jurisdiction
None of the above terms affect your statutory rights as a consumer
