Mileeven Fine Foods - Kilkenny, Ireland
Eilis Gough and her husband first set up Mileeven Fine Foods in 1988 in County Kilkenny. The name Mileeven comes from the Irish “mil” and “aobhainn” which means delightful or delicious honey. The area is renowned for its wild fuchsia or hawthorn flowers, which gives the honey a lovely unique taste.
Today, about 10 local beekeepers with several hundred hives, and a most impressive 13.5 m bees work to produce the world famous honey that is Mileeven Fine Foods.

Burler's Irish Chocolates - Dublin, Ireland
Back in 1932, a certain Mrs Bailey-Butler began making chocolates in Dublin, using the very best fresh Irish cream, butter and eggs. More than 70 years later, the company had grown substantially and is producing chocolates and sugar confectionery at a state of the art production facility in north Dublin.
The original recipes and techniques of Mrs Bailey-Butler are still used today, and the chocolates continue to delight food lovers throughout Ireland and the wider world, and they continue to elicit awards from gastronomic judges and food writers in all the major culinary competitions. The range of Butler's Chocolates includes truffles flavoured with Jameson whiskey and Irish coffee, chocolate bars, mint chocolates.
