Mileeven Fine Foods

Eilis Gough and her husband first set up Mileeven Fine Foods in 1988 in County Kilkenny. The name Mileeven comes from the Irish “mil” and “aobhainn” which means delightful or delicious honey. The area is renowned for it's wild fuchsia or hawthorn flowers, which gives the honey a lovely unique taste.

Today, about 10 local beekeepers with several hundred hives, and a most impressive 13.5 m bees work to produce the world famous honey that is Mileeven Fine Foods.

Here we present Mileeven's hand crafted rich fruit cakes made to traditional Irish recipes.
