Wine Cheese & Port Hampers

The classic mix of products within a gourmet hamper. We purchase cheese from Bandon in Cork, Fivemiletown in Tyrone and from the Causeway Coast in Antrim. The Irish Gourmet considered the idea of only using Irish winemakers from the Bordeaux region or Irish vineyard owners from North America, South Africa and Oceania. However, it was generally regarded as too restrictive and the symbolism would have been largely unrecognised in the British market place and probably within Ireland itself. Money spent on this nuance would have reduced the budget available for the amount of Irish produced food, so the wine and port is Australian and American, but we cannot vouch for its authenticity.
